KIRBY WRIGHT TO READ AT BARNES & NOBLE IN HAWAII AND CALIFORNIA
Kirby Wright will be reading and signing copies of BEFORE THE CITY at Barnes & Noble in Kahala Mall, Honolulu, Hawaii on January 10th at 1 pm. The address is 4211 Waialae Avenue and the phone # is 808-737-3323. Wright plans on reading his two Pushcart Prize nominations. He will also read excerpts from his coming of age novel manuscript set on the island of Molokai. The current issue of Hawai'i Review has published one of the chapters and another chapter is forthcoming from Liberty Magazine. Local publishers will be attending this event.
Wright also has a forthcoming reading at the Barnes & Noble in Oceanside, California, on February 17th at 7 pm. The address is 2615 Vista Way and the phone is 760-529-0106. He plans on lecturing about the creative process and how to get published in literary reviews and magazines. Students from nearby Rancho Buena Vista High and Vista High are encouraged to attend. Wright's BEFORE THE CITY has been used as a teaching tool in creative writing classes at Rancho Buena Vista.
