Here's another poster from the 2009 International Writers Conference in Hong Kong. This one is called INTERNATIONAL MEDIA SALON, and the title is "Sources of Literary Inspiration: How We Become Writers.
Writers that shared their experiences are: Janet Charman, Wena Poon, Kirby Wright, Young-ha Kim, and Miguel Syjuco. Apparently it was taped by the Journalism Dept. at Hong Kong Baptist University.
I spoke with Kirby Wright and he said all he did was talk about his wild cross country road trip in the 70s with his friend George Balint. "You should have seen what we saw in Grand Junction at 3 a.m., just a stone's throw from Utah," Wright told me.
He wouldn't elaborate.
